Solution BoltBait Posted April 8, 2022 Solution Share Posted April 8, 2022 Sounds like you have an existing paint.net installation that has become broken. Please use this utility to remove the broken installation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed Afterwards, you should be able to install paint.net anew. butterfly8000
sorry did not work I checked and according to the trouble shooter there is no problem it also says it has to have the right .net framework. According to windows I have the most recent one. Should I just roll back windows updates and update one at a time so see if the updates are the issue? BoltBait
Which OS are you on? Which .NET framework do you have installed? Which version of Paint.NET are you trying to install? butterfly8000
No worries I got rid of one window's update KB2565063. I reinstalled paint.net and also reinstalled the update for windows and it works just fine thanks. do not know what C++ has to do with anything but it worked.
