gloss to a matte color

I was wonder how to make an image go from a gloss to a matte color or flat is there a way to do that ?

How exactly would you go about this? I have levels, but I am still trying do not know what to adjust them to make a matte finish. Sorry I am very new to paint.net

Hello @FlacoMike and welcome to the forum  

 

To begin with, using the 'levels' plugin will make a subtle difference - it will all depend on what you are looking for.

 

Here is a YouTube Video which may help - he using PS levels, and we have a similar Levels too.

 

Also, we have a G'MIC Plugin which has many filters for you to try.
