TechExpert2021
I've used paint.NET for nearly 2 years and I loved it. I mainly use it to create unique images, thumbnail art (mostly YouTube thumbnails), 2D character artwork, and so on. Later on, I've discovered a feature that is able to acquire scans from a printer and/or scanner and I began using it, mostly for scanning black-and-white drawings that I've originally made on paper and attempt to digitally trace it in color. It used to work for me, even when my printer/scanner is offline. But later on, it became unusable and completely useless now, even if my printer/scanner is active and online, as this option was completely grayed out, as shown below. If Paint.NET version 4.4.8 is available to install, then it might fix this issue.
toe_head2001
Paint.NET uses the list of Scanners provided by Windows. Please ensure Windows itself still recognizes that your scanner is attached and functional. Quote (September 25th, 2023) Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue.
