paint.net can't find network scanner

Acquire does not find the USB network scanner.  The same scanner connected locally works fine, but not over the network.  All other software works fine over the network.  Paint.net does find the network printer, and appears to send data, but nothing prints or goes into the queue.  Locally it works fine.

 

Using the latest W10 with a Brother USB MFC-7420 All-in-One.
