Is there a plugin that lets me do this sort of thing?

I want to skew/distort images, and I know about DistortThis! and Skew Horizontal/Vertical, but they don't seem to do it for me. I'm looking for a plugin that lets me do this sort of thing.

I've seen this sort of stuff in other image/animation programs and I was wondering if there's anything like it here.

I've been meaning to add this ability to DistortThis! (move two adjacent nodes together).  A few people have asked for it in the past.

Well, not exactly move two adjacent nodes together, but moreso the realtime skew/distort feature seen in photoshop whenever you resize an image.

That would be a Tool: it interacts directly with the canvas.

Plugins can't add Tools to paint.net.  That's why all the plugins are Effects with dialog windows.

It's worth mentioning that the built-in Rotate / Zoom tool (Ctrl+Shift+Z) can do this, though it's harder to control. It does have a live preview, though, so maybe that would work.

 

For a non-linear tool that can skew, the Grid Warp plugin is pretty good
