How do you post an embedded imgur link these days

Recommended Posts

My old imgur links would embed perfectly fine and no longer do, even opening and saving without touching the contents of an old post will revert the images to links. What changed? The imgur thumbnail button only gives images that are too small. Having the big visible pictures is crucial for the plugin threads I started. I couldn't find any means to get a picture directly showing up, short of modifying the http posts via Fiddler or something.

(This is the only technically accurate subforum I can post this in.)

Try this:

1.  Copy the direct link code from Imgur.

2.  On your small thumbnail image, hold Control and right click on the mouse, choose Edit Image and add the direct link code to the first box and save.  It should now open to the bigger size when you click on it.

Looks like it's because imgur used to have http:

If I remember correctly, it was this website (Invision) that changed to https: about a year ago,  That's why we cant use URL's anymore.
