Stevekallman
If you right-click an image file and drill down to "Open with", paint.net is not present in the list of graphics programs as it was in version 4.2.
terry stubbs
Just installed the latest update today. Even though my photo is assigned to this software it doesnt open. I just get a large white box. I can 'open' the photo from within the software.
Rick Brewster
I had a report of this during beta but I couldn't reproduce it What type of image is this happening with? Is it all of them, or just some of them? (e.g., JPG? PNG? PDN? GIF?) What version of Windows are you using? Stevekallman
Almost all types of image files are affected by this behavior. The typical image and graphic file extensions which are often found associated with Windows Paint (I'm using Windows 7) and other similar programs cannot be opened with Paint.Net by right-clicking the file and choosing "Open with" from the drop down menu. The exceptions are GIF, BMP and DIB. The uploaded image shows what is displayed when right-clicking of a JPG file. Paint.net is missing from the list. Rick Brewster
If you open the Default Programs control panel (I think that's what it's called in Win7...), is there an entry for paint.net? What file types does it have listed? (screenshot plz) Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Rick Brewster
I was able to reproduce this, and I figured out why it's happening. Easy fix, and I should be pushing out a 4.3.1 update fairly soon since this is a pretty important bug for Win7 users. Win10 is unaffected. 1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

jaysee15
Paint.net appears on the list of editors to open a picture with when I right click on it but when I select it, paint.net opens with a blank screen. I'm using Windows 10 and jpeg
Rick Brewster
This should be fixed in 4.3.1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
