AB480
Hello, Im trying to figure out how to resize a picture to be printed out as a 5x7 photo. Do I change the pixel size or the print size? Also I'm changing the dpi from 72 to 300 dpi, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

toe_head2001
In your case, you should change the Resolution and then change the Print Size. 21 minutes ago, AB480 said: ok that didn't help me much. That guide should have answered your question; maybe just not directly. I recommend reading it once more to make sure you understand the concepts, and how they relate to your question. Do I change the pixel size or the print size? Short answer: For a 5x7 inch image printed at 300DPI (i.e. reasonable photo quality), make the image size 1500 x 2100 pixels. Ignore the DPI setting (which most find confusing).
