Select Pattern and Merge it over other parts of the picture

I have a map I am modifying for a dnd campaign, I want to take a pattern/texture that is already on the map and use a tool similar to brush that can recreate the same pattern over an area like brush instead of using a single color. How can I make this happen?

The Clone Stamp tool might work for you, or you can copy a piece of the texture,

paste it into a new file and save it as a .png file.

Then you can use that file as a brush in the Brush Factory plugin.
