I would prefer no real estate either side of the new taskbar arrangement. Thus reducing any confusion. Clock, network and all other notifications should live in the centre instead. Hight time the clock moved 😃

For me, I like having the Start button/menu always in the same location. I don't even have to look for it, I just jam the mouse pointer to the bottom left and I'm there :)
