lynxster4
Congrats to @Pixey, @Manc and @Ladybug for your winning entries! 👏 This was a challenging and time-consuming object. The 'ticks' around the outer rim were driving me batty! Good job to everyone! 👍 Thank you @Pixey for hosting! 🤗 My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"
MJW
Congratulations to @lynxster4, @Pixey, @Manc and @Ladybug on some very well done compasses! This is the second OOTF comp in a row where I've had an entry about 85% done, but ran out of time. No wonder I often got 3s in "Makes wise use of time" on my elementary school report cards. It's the worst of both worlds: no entry, and time spent doing it. I can offer some advice to lynxster4 on the ticks. I used @Red ochre Gears plugin, drawing fairly deep radial teeth, then used circular selections to eliminate the inside and outside edges, leaving only the tick lines. A Tick effect that also adds numbers in various orientations would be a worthwhile plugin.
Ladybug
This was indeed a challenging object. I really like everyone's different techniques. Click HERE to see my Pictorium of images I have worked on. I was using xod's Clock plugin, which doesn't give you enough 'ticks', and really fiddling with it...a real pain! I agree with your plugin suggestion. Being able to choose how many divisions would be great. Anyone of our great plugin makers up to the task?? 😉 My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"
