[solved] Blend mode missing

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I was wondering several years why the blending of colors seems so dirty and dark.
I've found an explanation on youtube about mathematics which explains exact this phenomenon.

Unfortunately I haven't found a corresponding blend mode in Paint.NET  - or have I overlooked it?

This is the link to the video (4 min) jumping to example at 2:33

https://youtu.be/LKnqECcg6Gw?t=153

Is there a way to implement this blend behavior into Paint.NET?

That video is not referring to layer blend modes, it is referring to using linear gamma when blending colors.

Paint.NET does not currently have this option.

The small increase in performance you get coding in C++ over C# is hardly enough to offset the headache of coding in the C++ language. ~BoltBait

Thanks for the info.

Actually I was referring to blending colors and not to layer blend modes. Excuse me that I haven't described that correctly.

Perhaps it is possible to implement this feature in the future.

For me it would be a great enhancement.
