frer8833
For example if i want to apply an effect (blacknwhite, blurs, saturation etc) outside some small lasso selected areas, it would be easier to just select the areas first and then press a button to activate 'apply outside selection/s' that makes effects only apply outside the selected areas, instead of having to do it one by one by putting them on another layer. Red ochre
Use Edit/Invert selection first? https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/SelectionTools.html 1 Quote Red ochre Plugin pack.............. Diabolical Drawings ................Real Paintings
BoltBait
That button is Ctrl-I What that does is invert your selection. It is impossible for an effect to change pixels that aren't selected. So, simply invert your selection, run the effect, then you can invert your selection again to select the originally selected pixels. 1 Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
frer8833
Thank you for invert-tool. Still wonder how to have many areas selected simultaneously before applying an effect. Edited May 5, 2021 by frer8833
BoltBait
After making your first selection, hold down the Ctrl key while making your second selection. 1 Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
