Moving Nubs Independently to Warp/Stretch Selection

Recommended Posts

At various times, I've managed to move selection nubs independently to warp a selection.  It was always an error, but now I want to do it on purpose, but I can't find the control/tool to do that.  Any suggestions?

Hello @JimMcL61 and welcome to the forum :)

Are you perhaps referring to this Plugin:

Grid Warp - Plugins - Publishing ONLY! - paint.net Forum (getpaint.net)

I'll give it a shot!  Thanks!  I thought I'd seen something similar in just moving the selection nubs, but maybe I'm dreaming.

Update: Not quite.  Just want to keep the sharp corners and straight lines between the corners, and have the image stretch/shrink to a remapping of the geometry.  I think it's much simpler than Grid Warp.  This is useful when deskewing an image.  Appreciate the help, though.

Then it's probably:

1.  Select area with the Rectangle Select Tool :RectangleSelectTool:

2.  Switch to Move Selected Pixels Tool - short key: M
