Ripper
I have a solid image that I'd like to perforate, ideally with some way to vary the size of the holes. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks
ardneh
One thing you could do is make a series of dots on a New Layer equivalent to the perforations you want. This plugin would be useful. Erase the dots you don't want. With the Shift key down Magic Wand the dots. Make the dots layer not-visible. Make your image layer active. Press Delete.
Ego Eram Reputo
To create dots with varying size, create a mask layer filled with a Black & White gradient, then run the Halftone plugin over the layer with the Shape set to Spot. Use the Contrast & Brightness sliders to alter the size of the spots. Then continue using the above technique. MJW
Instead of using the Magic Wand followed by Delete, I suggest using BoltBait's Paste Alpha plugin. The results will usually have smoother edges, and therefore look better.
