how to make an image less pixelated

Recommended Posts

Depending on your starting image you might get a better result using a different method for removing the background.

You can improve the image that you have by applying Gaussian blur at default, duplicating the layer twice, merging layers and running AA's Assistant plugin effect.

The remaining jaggy edges on the horizontal rotors  can be reduced by making a Rectangular selection around the parts of the rotor you want to smooth and using Motion blur.

Hi @idesign  Boltbait's Feather plugin can be found in his pack here:

It's in the OBJECT menu, but you must be running the latest version of paint.NET.

@idesign Open Paint.NET and look in the upper left-hand corner. The version number will be there. The latest version is 5.0.11.

Ok, yes I found it. It is 5.0.11

So you should be good to go with BB's latest plugin pack. Glad you got it sorted. Did you find Feather in the Object menu?

@BoltBait I already gave him the link to your plugin pack a few posts above.  😁  We don't know if he was successful in installing it though.

@idesign Boltbait's pack is not installed. Do you have the Microsoft store version (paid) or the Classic version (free)?

Depending on type of version you have see these installation instructions for plugins:

https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html     Let us know. 😊
