Volatile
I found an old forum post asking about this and that thread pointed to a handful of ancient threads about some plugins. The Normal Tools and Heightmap to be specific. There is a problem, though. These threads are so old that the links for the tutorials they've linked are broken and don't lead anywhere. Does anyone have some newer tools they can recommend? Or an archive of the tutorials?
Ego Eram Reputo
All plugins for paint.net can be found via the Plugin Index. Try searching the Index with the keywords Height Map and Normal to find the latest tools for working with Normal maps. Unfortunately we have no control over the persistance of third party links. My own archives do not include the guide for the Normal Tools. Which is a shame because I recall it was excellent. MJW
I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but Normal Map Plus may be similar to The Normal Tools, and Texture Shader is similar to Heightmap.
