gartenriese
Hey! I was just wondering how you draw straight lines with certain angles. Like in Transit Maps. Is there a tutorial on how to do a transit map somewhere? Thanks in advance!
Myrddin
Howdy gartenriese. Hmm, there is no specific application where you can define line properties, like angle or length. This is in part because of the Status Bar at the bottom of the screen; drawing lines, shapes and gradient in Paint.NET is live, all the information about the drawing is displayed on this Status Bar. Therefore, with this in mind, you can draw your line as you normally would whilst keeping an eye on the status of the line at the bottom. With Transit Maps in particular, features constructed of 45°, 90°, 180° angles, there is a handy shortcut in Paint.NET to make this easier: hold the Shift key. By holding the Shift key whilst drawing, you are constraining the line to angles of 15°, which so happens to include the angles listed before. Don't forget the Help Documentation as well, where you can find out about the Line / Curve tool, plus everything else.
