MitchG
What a useful feature this would be: if we could use the Line tool to cut out edges using the palette's *opacity* slot. 😃 (Since it is transparent, you would have to display the line with a pseudocolor.)
ardneh
This will work. Set the primary color to alpha. Set the Line / Curve tool Blending mode to Overwrite. Â Have a layer below your work layer filled with a contrasting color. Â 2 1
MitchG
ardneh, I could probably get back solid weeks of my life down the years if I could take this back in time, LOL. Thank you. Spread the word on this great tip.
MitchG
At the risk of repeating myself, I find this ability to create a transparent, adjustable cut-out line around objects to be extremely useful. I can hardly be the only one who never heard of the Overwrite mode before now, tho. So I would still like to see Paint.Net implement this as a tool in the toolbox, to encourage wider use.
