Paint.NET can, and for the foreseeable future (of the 3.xx series), only deal with bitmap images comprised of pixels. May I ask why you're enquired about paths? Perhaps we can direct you to an alternative piece of software that will serve your needs, or another method to complete the task which Paint.NET can do.
