Having trouble uploading images, do I have to make images smaller?

You should not be uploading your images to the forum.  You've already used 99.8% of your allowed storage capacity. 🙁

Please upload your images to a third-party image host, and then link to the images.

Some popular choices are Postimages and Imgur.

(September 25th, 2023)  Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue.

Hi @ipswichmanc a few pointers for you.

1.  Thumbs for smaller images on postimage no longer work on here.

2.  Best is to use Imgur.  Find the code once you've saved the image, and copy the last 7 digits of that code.

3.  Look in your tool bar for the black square with the green dot, click on it and add your 7 digits of code.  Then you will a thumb, which is clickable.

Merry Christmas to you too @ipswichmanc t7609.gif

You are doing great with the Thumbs, although at this minute, the last one seems not to be loading.

You can also put them together in a line, which takes up less space.  Just add the newer one to the right of the last one.

Hi @Pixey and @lynxster4.

Here's another image.

It's actually a work in progress. I can't make my mind up what to with it.🙃

Cheers.😉

ipswichmanc  Very Well Done! The wood grain, brass also the polished metal dial great stuff.  As you have said this was a work in progress. If I may, a personal thought,   I noticed, the main highlight appears coming from in front and elevated over the viewers left shoulder. Then  there is a slight shadowing from the II diagonally to the VII. Then the arc (III to VI) along the outer edge of the dial is another lightened area. Giving me the impression that the dial/clock face is not flat but has a slight wave in it. It seems that the wood has not gotten the same highlighting design, as the face, in fact it seems to be slightly reversed from the dial's highlights, Also was confused by the 360° shadow at the base (i.e. against the "wall"). Please know that I really like your work here. So much has been very well done and is most impressive (my jealousy knows no bounds) Feel perfectly free to tell me to Bla,Bla,Bla and so on with my ideas.

Respectively,

Very well done @ipswichmanc!  👍  The wood grain texture is excellent. I could see that hanging in my living room.

Bravo!  😊

Thank you @lynxster4 for your nice comments.

Thank you @Scooter for your critique. Really appreciate the time it must of took you.

I don't think it's all 'Bla Bla. Mostly right about the shadow.🙃

In my defence, the clock case took about me about twenty minutes.

Actually, the main highlight is supposed to look like glass.

Obviously not right, that's why it's a work in progress.

Maybe I could get some pointers from the Queen of glass, @Pixey

It is going to finish as a antique style mantle clock.

Thank you all.

Cheers.😉

Thanks @Scooter.

No problem mate, great to get feedback.

Don't worry, lost count of how many times I've regretted hitting the 'Send Button'.🙃

I hope the image turns out OK.

Cheers.😉

Love how smooth the wood grain looks. And clocks fascinate me. Too bad they have been mostly replaced with digital clocks. Have you ever created an old "timey" compass?

OH,OH, look at that! A time piece to tell the time with.   Well done with the changes both subtle and substantive. clap.gif.8c223bd2335e8eb1a6c4d9dbe7eec26a.gif

You may now go on the project Next, with a happy heart--well something like that. 😉
