Subtract RGB values from image with another image

Recommended Posts

Hi,

If a pixel has an RGB values of 11, 11, 11,
and on another image the same pixel has RGB values of 22, 22, 22,
the plugin will basically subtract the RGB values, so the output would be 11, 11, 11.
So, my question is, is there a plugin like this? It would really help me a LOT.

Sorry for bad explanation, I just don't know how to describe it.

Hi @erpetek - welcome to the forum :)

The Difference blend mode will do this.

  1. Open the source image
  2. Import or paste the second image as a second layer.
  3. Set the blend mode of the top layer to Difference (press f4 with the layer active).

It doesn't even matter which order the two layers are - so long as the top on is the one with the Difference blend mode.

Hi,
So I tried this, and the image turns black. Is that how it's supposed to work or am i missing something?
