Flipping selections that aren't squares...

Recommended Posts

So I'm trying to flip a selection on an image I'm working on, yet even with the "Flip Selection ___" from BoltBait's plugin, I lose part of my selection (It's not a square shape, but irregular). I was wondering if there were any tips or tricks I'm missing out on that could help me, from someonoe who knows what they're doing... Thanks in advance!

If, as I assume, you mean flip the selected pixels, not the selection boundary, you might copy the selected pixels (Ctrl-C), paste them into a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+V), then flip the layer. You'll probably have to move the image after flipping to get it into the correct position. (Without seeing what you're trying to accomplish, I'm not sure if that answers your question.)
