throwawayakirbo
edit: Nevermind, I was just being dumb and not looking at the error log. Found out what the problem was in less than a minute, thanks anyway I've seen people have issues with this before, I'm in the same situation as a lot of other people, never had this before and I don't know what to do. The fixes I've seen either only work temporairly (save as a different file), are too expensive (get a new hard drive because apparently this could happen with a faulty hdd which makes no sense because I haven't even had this computer for more than a week) or just don't work (update to 4.2.13, which i am on and didn't fix it.) edit: No, it isn't even a big file, it's just 310x310 and 150x150 images. This is the log; Application version: paint.net 4.2.13 System.IO.IOException: File::Replace and fallback path were both unsuccessful ---> System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.File.InternalMove(String sourceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean checkHost) at PaintDotNet.IO.SaveTransaction.Commit() in D:\src\pdn\src\PaintDotNet\IO\SaveTransaction.cs:line 286 --- End of inner exception stack trace --- --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at PaintDotNet.IO.SaveTransaction.Commit() in D:\src\pdn\src\PaintDotNet\IO\SaveTransaction.cs:line 315 at PaintDotNet.Controls.DocumentWorkspace.<>c__DisplayClass246_1.<DoSaveImpl>b__6() in D:\src\pdn\src\PaintDotNet\Controls\DocumentWorkspace.cs:line 2794 at PaintDotNet.Functional.Func.Try(Action f) in D:\src\pdn\src\Base\Functional\Func.cs:line
