wpa1160
I have reported back this issue multiple times since August 2019 using the feedback button but didn't get any response nor was it fixed: Ever since my monitor upgrade from 1920x1080 to 3840x2160 I have issues copying and pasting images from the clipboard into other applications: The image is also scaled during paste. I just do CTRL+A, CTRL+C and CTRL+V to paste the image (most of the time) in Office applications like Outlook. paint.net already recognizes that I'm on 150% but pasting somehow increases that value again. To circumvent that I now finish my changes in paint.net, copy and paste it into Windows Paint and copy and paste it to the final application to get rid of the useless blow up. If it's a feature instead of a bug, would it be possible to add a checkbox to the settings to alter the paste behavior (like "paste unscaled" or something like that)? BoltBait
I don't have any issues when I copy from Paint.NET or MS Paint and paste into Word... the image comes out the right size. When you copy an image from inside of Word and paste it into Paint.NET or MS Paint it comes out the wrong size. This is a known issue and is a problem with Word, not Paint.NET. 1 Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
Rick Brewster
Outlook, not Word Outlook seems to have its own weird-isms on this front. @wpa1160, unfortunately there's not a good solution here. If I fix the Outlook scenario, lots of other scenarios break. If I fix all the other scenarios, Outlook is broken. It's a bug in Outlook and I've chosen to keep most things working instead of the Outlook scenario. 1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Rick Brewster
It's certainly possible that a "configurable Paste" command could be added at some point, but it's just not really high on the list of priorities. I wouldn't hold your breath. Not a bad idea, there's just a lot of stuff in front of it. wpa1160
@Rick Brewster No problem, I know how to deal with that. Thanks for the insights!
