Paint.net might be corrupt

Recommended Posts

So recently while about to save a image the program crashes. I wasn't really paying attention, but it said something was unexpected. This happened several times and I eventually deleted the program. This all happened on the free version. I then bought the one from the microsoft store and got this error. I tried some of the steps in the forum like the net, but nothing worked.

This is generally an indication that something else on your system is corrupt or broken.

Look into running tools like chkdsk and sfc /scannow. It's easy to find information about them, they are commonly employed.

If you have something like WindowBlinds installed, or some other kind of "theming" software, this may also cause issues. They are riddled with bugs and cause lots of crashes.
