Paint.Net won't open or Reinstall please help

Hello,

First off allow me to better describe my problem. Recently as of 7/8/2020 Microsoft updated my computer that unfortunately wiped out all of my images I made with Paint.NET and I believe it wiped out Paint.Net as well however not fully. When I place Paint.Net on my taskbar and attempt to open it, the icon vanishes and the application refuses to run. I open Task Manager to ensure it isn't running in the background and it isn't. So I go into the settings for Paint.NET and there it says that it is taking up no storage on my computer. So I go to the Microsoft store and attempt to reinstall the program however, whenever I click Reinstall/Open nothing happens.

I find it curious as to why only files I made with Paint.Net have been deleted and why my computer still thinks Paint.Net is still installed. Any help would be valued and I thank anyone who is willing.

To clarify, did you uninstall Paint.NET before trying to reinstall it from the Microsoft Store?

(September 25th, 2023)  Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue.
