Fatal error during installation 1603

Repair with Microsoft tool did not work, I also sure it's completely new system and paint.net was never installed before.

Just to note this is AMD Ryzen system not Intel. But paint.net is the first program which does not work on this system.

Do you mean this tool https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed? If you didn't use that, please download and run it. It fixes 99% of broken installations.

 

BTW 1603 is a known error. It's linked to a broken previous installation. If the above tool doesn't fix the problem, show us the error message.

Yes, that tool. It did not show paint.net in the list. The system is brand new with latest Windows 10. But it's AMD's ryzen CPU (does it make any difference?)
