dfuentes1321@gmail.com
After trying out paint.net for a time, I opted to purchase it. I run it on Windows 10. If I start the program with its shortcut from my task bar, it get a different version of the program than when I start if by double clicking a file. The version that starts from a shortcut has several plugins I added; the other does not. Other annoyances, but I'll spare you the details. How to I get back to one install--preferably the one with the plugins? Thanks in advance! David
Pixey
Hello @dfuentes1321@gmail.com You will now have 2 versions on your computer. If you only want one to work, you need to totally close the free version, or remove it, as well as the shortcut. As you seem to want to use the Store bought version, then you will have to do the following steps, as it's different from the free version: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html#4 Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. Rick Brewster
To migrate your plugins to the Store version, you'll need to move them into Documents/paint.net App Files -- the instructions for plugin installation are on the page that @Pixey linked to.
