  1. 1. What are your initial thoughts of the browser?

    • I like the browser very much. The lightweight UI with the near lightning load times have me addicted and I probably will not turn back to alternative browsers

    • It is a very solid release but I will be staying with my choice of web browser

    • I do not like it and will probably not release it

    • I have not downloaded it yet!

Hmm... Just downloaded it.

I like :D Its has a rather clean UI, which is why it seems so different from what I'm used to seeing. I'm not used to seeing a browser without a toolbar :lol: I also didn't realize the I was so used to using FireGestures until now :P

It's like a blend between IE and Firefox. And fast too!

I voted the first option. Chrome has completely won me over.

The tabs are intuitive, great Javascript support, and ofcourse the multi process tabs is assuring. Also, Fluctu is working right out of the box, something which cannot be said about IE...

And there is no inline search box!
Do you mean Find box, because there is at Ctrl + F, and it's inline.

Hmm, my only beef so far is that the ads to not be removed are the Google ones. Do you know, with me, I don't care who markets the advertisements, nor do I care if the Sun shines from Google, an advert is an advert. I don't like adverts cluttering up the place.

Other than that, I'm impressed. I'd still like a bit more control in the Options area, though, such as for security, but I can learn to adjust. It's definitely replaced Opera as my secondary browser, that's for sure.

Nice, thanks. I'll have to try that tomorrow. It mentions nothing of Vista, but neither did Inkscape when I first got Vista and nothing bad came of it. Bah, XP and Vista are largely compatible anyway.

Make that any advert. What is wrong with this browser! Don't you realise my needs! I shouldn't have to resort to third-party software to overcome niggles. I've yet to come across a pop-up, though.

I did notice on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid3 that Webkit (which is the render engine that Google is using) scored 100/100 on the Safari 4 Developer Preview build. So, maybe there is hope for Google's browser once it is out of "beta"... ;)

if(((Tab)GetTabProcess(tab.selectedtab)).url == "http://acid3.acidtests.org/")
{
  switch(this.version)
  {
      case 1: ((Tab)GetTabProcess(tab.selectedtab)).CorruptRendering(70); break;
      case 1.5: ((Tab)GetTabProcess(tab.selectedtab)).CorruptRendering(60); break;
      case 2.1: ((Tab)GetTabProcess(tab.selectedtab)).CorruptRendering(40); break;
      case 2.3: ((Tab)GetTabProcess(tab.selectedtab)).CorruptRendering(30); break;
      case 2.4: ((Tab)GetTabProcess(tab.selectedtab)).CorruptRendering(28); break;
  }
}

:shock:

Win: Wow, that looks amazing in Aero. Wow!

Low-mem footprint.

And did someone say each tab gets its own proc? Niiice.

Fail:

No AdBlock.

I am not going to like having to test my pages in another browser.

No extensibility as far as I can see, but I only took a brief look.

Perf is the same as Firefox (on this computer), so no advantage there.

Oh, and no AdBlock.

Will stick with Firefox.
