How can I do hatching of a shape pn Paint.net.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

i'm trying to do kind of a section of a mechanism on Paint.net . I need to do diferent hatchings of diferent shapes that defined the parts that i sectioned. I'm new at Paint.net, I'm not sure that is the apropiate tool for me, but right now my question is: there is any posibility to do these hatchings ( of course different angles and spacing).

Thanks in advance,

Elias

2D CAD suites or Inkscape is better for these tasks.

It would help if you could show some examples of what you're trying to achieve.

(Sort of guessing what you might want to do) If you can select the region where you want the hatching, you can paste a stripe pattern into it. Or you can erase the region where you want the hatching, put the hatch pattern in a lower layer, then merge the layers.

You can fill different regions in slightly different colors and/or include a different fill pattern on each one.

PRO-TIP: remember to reset the fill pattern to solid when you're done :)
