Automatic language selection on Terminal Server (Windows Server 2016)?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We are using Paint.NET on Terminal Servers (Windows Server 2016) with many users.

Every user gets the program in English, even if the user has a different language, e.g. German (which is set in the Windows display language).

The user can change the language in the settings, but it would be nice if this would be done automatically.

Is it possible to add an new entry for the language "use system setting" which uses always the system setting?

Try deleting the "UI/Language" registry key in HKLM\SOFTWARE\paint.net\. The HKCU key has precedence over HKLM, which means you can establish a system-wide default but then each user can change it to their liking.
