Hey guys! I recently (3 days ago) joined the OTHER PDN forums only to have it locked :(. I'm new to PDN, let alone any other advanced Paint/Graphics program. The last 3 days I looked at several tutorials and DL'd a ton of plugins. I'd say I'm pretty decent for only having 3 days experience with PDN.

Please click on my sig image for my gallery to see my work.

P.S. I have read the rules 3 times over, so I probably won't be making any mistakes :P. Just realized all of my sigs that say "warfighter67" are screwed, I made my nick Weylin without thinking :/. Just know any sig I make with Warfighter67 OR Weylin are my work xP

Hello All,

I am new to the forums as well. Like Weylin, I signed up for the previous forum while it was locked out, so had to re-sign up. I have been using PDN for a few weeks, and love it. Prior to, I had not used any phote editing software, besides the basics to remove red eye. I am in no way, any type of artist, but I do really enjoy photo manipulation. So my projects are limited to enhancing/manipulating photos. In my limited time, I have found these forums to be an excellent resource.

Hi, I've been using Paint.net for a little under two years; workin' mainly in textures and GUI's. I 'd have to say that my favorite part of Paint.Net is the amount plugins available.

I'm actually hoping to get to meet some people who make sphere-textures here. (Literally just making a flat texture that's meant to be wrapped to a sphere. It's so fun 'cause of all the possibilities!) It's something I first did when playing a game called Toribash. Thou' I couldn't any many Paint.Net users there; except for one great pixel artist.

Well hopefully I'll be around here for awhile get to know ya'll and whatnot :).

Um... hi there...

I got the email about the new forum, neglected it, and decided to check it out now.

Nice :D

Also, welcome The Bird! I wish you good karma and a prosperous life on these forums!

Hey guys, I've been here quite awhile, being a ghost and eavesdropping in threads. I quit here and there, and I would kindly ask anyone good at PDN to help me (kind of like a teacher and student kind of deal). I would like to learn the basic things and how to make a signature from scratch excluding a simple picture to work on.

So yeah, I need 1 teacher to help me, preferably someone who is experienced.

Welcome, Lurked!

By profession I am a teacher but sigs - mine suck - as attested by never winning or even getting close to it. Best advice I can offer you is to check out the tutes - try them all, since they give you a good understanding of how the plugins work.

There are quite a few really good sig tutes too. After a while you will develop your own style.

Once you post your work you will get some really useful feedback. Really a lot of it is trial & error.

Thanks BBQ, I do read and try out the signature tutorials, but sometimes I get stuck. Like what is he/she trying to say? If you have aim i promise i won't bother you too much, but sometimes i need someone to explain some things to.
