ToxiicRaiinTV
I am using paint.NET as a photo editor for mainly my YouTube thumbnails and such. I was wondering if anybody has any reccomendations as to what plugins to install to make my thumbnails look EVEN better? And maybe even plugins to use for other things. It would be much appreciated. Reptillian
That's too broad of a topic. Which things you would like to do? ToxiicRaiinTV
Really anything I guess, there's just so many plugins to install that I don't possibly have enough time to go through all of them. So i guess to narrow it down, what would be ideal for some REALLY GOOD thumbnails/pictures? Edited January 30, 2020 by ToxiicRaiinTV
Reptillian
Examples of thumbnails, or do you want to produce sharp thumbnails from existing image? ToxiicRaiinTV
I mean...I don't know if sharp is the word I'm looking for but I guess...professional looking?
Ego Eram Reputo
"Professional looking" is going to be a subtle combination of quite a few effects and plenty of different techniques. Then there is composition, color theory, subject matter and a plethora of other things that have to be considered. There isn't a single plugin, but you could play for hours with the different filters in G'MIC Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker

Pixey
Hi @ToxiicRaiinTV and Welcome As you are only using paint.net to edit images you will probably never learn about what certain plugins can do. The best way to understand what paint.net is capable of, is to try out the many tutorials in the Tutorial area. A simple way to 'enhance' an image is to use the Layers Mode options, which can either improve an image, or totally destroy it 😫 Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon.
