Switchloc
Love the program! I use this for creating field drawings for my job. I used to use simple old windows paintbrush, but doesn't even compare to the possibilities with paint.net. The question I have is in regards to being able to overlay a selection on the same layer without covering up what is already there. I use the layer function to distinguish different aspects, but when I try to modify a layer it is very difficult to move an object (selected area) on that layer without covering parts of that layer. In the old paintbrush you could select a 'transparent' feature which would allow you to move a selected area on the page without it covering up the existing drawing. Is there a way to do this with paint.net or a possible fix that can be added to future updates?
Switchloc
That is what I figured. I have been doing it the way you mentioned, and then merge the two layers together. I just thought I'd see if I had missed something and there may be a simpler way!!! No worries, and thanks for the reply.
