The Hurt & Heal (+/-) Game!

Recommended Posts

Anyone interested in another one?

I'd like to start afresh. Let's toss out some ideas! If we do a new one, let's start it sometime within the week.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Think we should do a Marvel-themed Hurt and Heal game?

Here's the last one to occur, I believe. That one was started by MR, but the game was started on this forum by d.a. :)

Iz very simple. First, we all vote for which theme we would like to have. Then, the game manager (probably d.a once more) will choose a group of items/ideas based on the theme, and you try an' shoot down the ones you don't like. Or, to think of it inversely, you try to make the one you like most win.

You do so like this: each option starts with a base score of 50. The option 'wins' if its score reaches 100, or if all other options die (reach 0 or below). On each turn (you add a post to the thread), you get to execute one hurt and one heal. You may only hurt one option and heal one option in a turn, and you must do both. You 'hurt' by subtracting 10 from the option's score, and 'heal' by adding 5.

A few last rules: you may only (+/-) once a day. If only two options remain (all other options have perished), the two go into a shootout. Both scores are reset to 50; last one standing takes all.

That just about covers it... take a gander at the afore linked thread for an example. ;)

v An excellent open–source strategy game—highly recommended.

Maybe YOU should run it, Helio. You explained it better than I do. :-)

And yes, I can run it again, but if Mike is willing, we might take turns back and forth for a while on the games. It'll keep things fresh.

I dont mind taking turns :)

The only reason I started it back up in the first place was because you were gone, but I did find it quite amusing - regardless of the mistakes I made :D

Favorite Olympic Gymnast? :P

I don't think we should get into consoles/ video games quite yet - Kind of sets itself up as a spam contest.

I like your idea of "best of the..." Especially if you mean music.

I'm trying to come up with some more, but I'm at a mind block right now.

Ye guds, no. Please no. We can never come to a consensus on that. Ever.

Nice thoughts, though. Let's hear some more. If I don't hear anything better soon, I'm going with BoltBait's.
