John Galtshank
After years of using this wonderful platform, I, too, have found that my .png files are corrupted when saved as same. jpeg works great and so do other file-types. Something is up here. Anyone have a solution for this (running windows 10/pc)... Edited November 2, 2019 by John Galtshank
toe_head2001
Many of the FileTypes (including PNG) were changed/upgraded/modernized in Paint.NET v4.2. If you go to File -> New, and then save it as a PNG, will that too be corrupted? Did this issue start with Paint.NET v4.2.0 for you? You are using the built-in PNG option, and not some FileType plugin (such as OptiPNG)? Rick Brewster
They might just have the wrong file extension. Try renaming from .png to .pdn or something. Also, related to what @toe_head2001 said, make sure you're on the latest version (4.2.5) of the app. There have been some fixes in this area since 4.2.
