Installation 4.2.2 + 4.2.3 + 4.2.4

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Die Datei oder Assembly "PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.Native.x64.dll" oder eine Abhängigkeit davon wurde nicht gefunden. Das angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefunden.

Dateiname: "PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.Native.x64.dll"

   bei PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.AssemblyServices.InitializeX64()

   bei PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.AssemblyServices.Initialize(String sxsRootDirName) in D:\src\pdn\src\SystemLayer\AssemblyServices.cs:Zeile 65.

   bei PaintDotNet.Setup.SetupWizard.MainImpl(String[] args) in D:\src\pdn\src\SetupFrontEnd\SetupWizard.cs:Zeile 910.

   bei PaintDotNet.Setup.SetupWizard.Main(String[] args) in D:\src\pdn\src\SetupFrontEnd\SetupWizard.cs:Zeile 872.

I'm wondering if your virus scanner is being overly protective.  Can you check to see if your virus scanner has quarantined that file?

I'm betting you're using Windows 10 "N" ? See here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/115194-if-installation-fails-first-make-sure-you-are-not-using-windows-10-n/

 

I'll have a fix in for 4.2.5. I think you can also just install the "WIndows Media Feature Pack" (as mentioned in the other thread).

 

I don't test with the "N" editions of Windows, so this isn't really surprising.
