Magua
Hi All, I'm trying to modify a .tga file to enlarge an image. I've tried to resize and change the canvas with the image tab but when I save the file and open it in a game as a mod, it keeps coming up the same original size, 256 X 256 pixels whenever I paste it to a surface . I wanted to include a copy of the file in my post for your examination but was unsure of how to do so. I'd appreciate any help as I've spent hours trying to figure out a solution. Thanks. toe_head2001
Your description is not completely clear. To clarify, did you try using Resize in the Image menu? https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/ImageMenu.html#5 Edited July 14, 2019 by toe_head2001 Quote (June 9th, 2023) Sorry about any broken images in my posts. toe_head2001
The image you have posted is only 104x104. After you've saved the enlarged image, you should close and re-open it to ensure it was saved properly at the larger size. Quote (June 9th, 2023) Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I had to save it in a much smaller size but I cannot seem to paste it to a surface in a size larger than 256 x 256 pixels. Somehow in .tga format, the size has been predetermined. What's stopping you from saving at larger size? 3 minutes ago, Magua said: I cannot seem to paste it to a surface in a size larger than 256 x 256 pixels. Are you referring to a surface within your game? Perhaps it's a limitation of the game. Quote (June 9th, 2023) Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue. Had to reduce to include for illustration. 3 minutes ago, toe_head2001 said: Why? What's stopping you from saving at larger size? Are you referring to a surface within your game? Perhaps it's a limitation of the game. Here a screenshot of my game. The tga file is superimposed onto a dds file when the mod is applied. It seems I can change the pixel values in the image tab and save it. But when I reload the game, the image is no larger.
Ego Eram Reputo
I suspect your game is forcing the image to appear at that size.
