lynxster4
The texture looks great @welshblue! Concerning the lines; on the 'outline layer' have you tried selecting the outside of the object, inverting, and using @TrevorOutlaw's BlurBlend? I love that plugin. It might do the trick! 1 Quote My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"
Djisves
Excellent results by all, proof of a well written tutorial. Thank you @lynxster4, you brought Contour to my attention and you taught me the use of BlurBlend. I don't like mine very much, it did not resize well. I may revisit this and do it again from scratch, at a smaller size so I can post it as is.
lynxster4
Thank you so much @Djisves! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial. Yes, resizing took a little something away from it, but it is still very good. And I can never say how much I love Blurblend. I use it almost all the time. Looking forward to the next version! 😊 1 Quote My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"
Manc
Hi @lynxster4 Nice tutorial. I had to mess about with the settings for ''edge shader'' Your settings just sent it solid grey. Anyway, got there in the end.🙃 Here's my effort. Cheers.😉
Manc
Hi @lynxster4 I've made another effort. Can't quite get it right. My ''Edge Shader'' has a different interface to yours, that could be the problem.🙃 Cheers. Think I got it. lynxster4
@ipswichmanc Both those examples are fabulous! You did a great job. As for the Edgeshader plugin, you may be using Red's original one. Go to first post and click on EdgeshaderMJW for the latest version. MJW helped Red refine the original one. This one will not overwrite the original and it is found in the 'Advanced' menu. This version was never officially 'published' in the plugins thread. Thank you for trying the tutorial! LoudSilence
I made this with the tutorial, it works great for thin fonts too as long as you tweak the settings 1 Quote PDN Discord Server
