Hi, I have played around with the clone tool and am frustrated that the point of origin is not fixed; it constantly travels and follows my pointer. I want to select and copy a very specific area of pixels, not pixels from all over the page. How do I get the point of origin to be stationary?? It's driving me crazy! thank you very much for any and all help!

If you only want to copy one pixel, use the eye dropper :ColorPicker: to make that color your primary or secondary color and then use any of the drawing tools. The Clone Brush is meant to move as you move.

Do not click the picture above. It will take you to my site, and I don't need the anxiety.

He's right. That's what Clone Stamp is supposed to do. I'd suggest, instead of eyedropper, though, that you select, copy, and paste. :-)

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Allright...I must be thinking of the heal tool then. I do believe you can copy the texture exactly (not just the color) with the heal tool. I don't think paint.net has a heal tool option. Rats. Thanks.
