Pdn not opening until reboot

Recommended Posts

So what happens when you attempt to open Paint.NET without rebooting?

Do you see error messages?

Does the process simply die? Does the process show up in the Task Manager?

Can you try opening Paint.NET multiple times while in Windows Safe Mode? That will rule out any interference from third-party programs.

(September 25th, 2023)  Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue.

I don't get any messages. It simply just doesn't do anything. No errors, not even the slightest blip of it appearing in task manager. I will make sure to give it a go in safe mode, and to keep you updated on that. Thanks!

Make sure to look for PaintDotNet.exe in the Details tab of Task Manager.

I did, but there was nothing. However, I recently rebooted my computer to install some updates for AVG, and for some reason, it began to work again. Must've been some sort of setting I bumped or something, I'm unsure.
