Death of an Avatar

Recommended Posts

:LeftArrowBlue: :LeftArrowBlue: My beloved friend and pet cat, Coke, who is my avatar passed away last night.  He had just turned 21 years old.

We rushed him to the emergency vet clinic, had a few tests done, and found he was in end-stage kidney disease.

He had been a little weak and trembly lately but was still eating, drinking and doing his business. Then, BAM! he was down and out yesterday and couldn't even get up.

I'm going to miss him terribly.   😭    Rest in Peace, my dear friend!  💐  🌹

So sad to lose a friend.

My own cat, Mr Bill and only 10, died of renal failure this past December.

Truly sad for your loss.

I'm always saddened to hear about the death of a pet; even more so when it's a cat, since I'm particularly fond of cats. Twenty-one years is quite a ripe old age for a cat. I'm sure Coke had a very happy life, living with people who loved him.

I joke about cats but it's always sad when a beloved family member passes.

Hopefully the good memories of your times together and his little quirks will get you through this hard time.  Condolences from across the pond

Dearest @lynxster4 my heart breaks for you 😰 to lose a pet is absolute agony.  Twenty one is an unbelievable age.  All our cats were just so precious and when our last one died, a year ago, we said never again can we go through that.  Guess what, a year later we went to a shelter and now have a kitty again.

Thinking about you at this sad moment 😘

Thank you all, guys and gals, for the sincere condolences.  They are truly appreciated.  <3   :)

I keep looking at the empty spot in the living room where his bed used to be and can't believe he's gone.

We're going to wait a while, also, before we get another one. We need some time to process...

Dear @lynxster4

I feel with you. When the pain subsides, knowing that you have shared your path with a loving friend for a very long time will help. Your Cat will never be dead as long as he is in your heart.

Greetings from Hamburg
