How to FLIP horizontally in LAYER not FULL CANVAS

Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm trying to figure out how to flip an art piece i drew inside a selected layer, not a full canvas. When I flip, it flips all the way horizontally to the other side of my canvas, I want it to flip only inside my selected area.

Also if this isn't against the rules, but I'm looking for a guide/tutor for paint.net. I've used this app for about 4 years now, and I want to get advanced with it. So if you know all the aspects or can answer my problems, I would gladly pay you for your time. If your interested, get back to me.

Step 1: Install my plugin pack from https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/113220-boltbaits-plugin-pack-for-pdn-v41-and-beyond-updated-december-1-2018/

Step 2: Select the area you want to flip

Step 3: Use the menu Effects > Flip Horizontal (or Flip Vertical, depending on the direction you want).

Step 4: Become so amazed that you decide to send a donation to BoltBait.

If you don't mind spending a lil' bit of cash then this is comprehensive ... covers an older version, but still current

You also can't go wrong with the tutorial section.  A lot is covered there

There's also this.  Again depends what price you put on learning

I've always found that no matter what you're doing, getting your hands dirty and jumping in after a bit of guidance is always the best way to learn.

PDN has a great undo button 😁
