mottoman Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 I'm looking for a method to fade the colour (or desaturate) from parts of an image in order to emphasise the main colour part. I can't provide an example because I don't know how to repro it. Thanks in advance. Quote
Eli Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Maybe TR's dodge and burn effect. It has a desaturate option. 1 Quote

Ego Eram Reputo Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 This plugin automated the Pleasantville effect O' course, if you want a regular shape in color it might be easier to desaturate around a selection Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
IHaveNoName Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Some useful information in this thread. That 'Pleasantville' effect Extract Color plugin is something I've been looking for. Re: that "Advanced Desaturate" shown above - is that a separate plugin or part of a pack? I did a quick search of the plugins and nothing came up. Quote
HyReZ Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 (edited) Greetings, I have the "Advanced Desaturate" plugin appearing under the Adjustments tab as the TjacksonEffects.dll Edited December 29, 2018 by HyReZ Quote
Ego Eram Reputo Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 I'm not sure where I got Advanced Desaturate. You're correct that it doesnt appear in the Index. I may have compliled it from source code. I'll look into it. In the mean time, try this one by @BoltBait Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
HyReZ Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 (edited) @Ego Eram Reputo I found it here:http://ddrcoder.com/Fire/TJacksonEffects.zip (When I try to find nfo about the author at the link's index page; I get an "under construction" notice.) Edited December 29, 2018 by HyReZ Quote
Eli Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Perhaps the Advanced Desaturate effect is packed with the Fire effect? Quote
