The small increase in performance you get coding in C++ over C# is hardly enough to offset the headache of coding in the C++ language. ~BoltBait

Color Presets>Others Filters -> Preview disabled in 'Collage' mode.

Preview mode disabled only for this filters, is it a bug for 3.20

i didnt see the "advanced" option where it should have been.

It's possible you did not install it correctly.  Did you put the whole G'MIC folder into your Effect Folder?

Also, when you download a Plugin, you have to close paint.net and reopen it, for the Plugins to show up :)

This plugin allows G'MIC-Qt to be used as a Paint.NET Effect.

Compatibility: 5.0+

Menu location: Effects > Advanced > G'MIC-Qt

@Kikz - are you using version 5.0.1?

If you are, show us the contents of your Effects folder (like @Pixey did above).

Windows 10, PDN 5.0.1, G'MIC 3.2.0 from the Gmic_arm64_win10.zip crashing instantly when selecting the 'Color Temperature' filter.

Also getting 'failed to allocate memory' errors when trying to upscale images.

Did I understand the instructions wrong and I'm using the wrong download?

You are probably using the wrong download. The arm64_win10 download is intended for devices with ARM64 processors (e.g Microsoft Surface tablets) running Windows 10.

I updated the first post to try and clarify this.

As for the Color Temperature crash, I am not able to reproduce that.

Yeah, it was the wrong download. Thanks for clearing things up on the OP.

The failed to allocate memory has to do with memory limitation of 32-bit. I get that error too when processing big images internally with G'MIC. It does not happen with 64-bit G'MIC unless I go into really, really, and really big image as in more than what 64 GB computer can handle for weeks at once.

Hello.

FYI, the G'MIC project celebrates 15 years of development.

For this occasion, I wrote a progress report of the development done this last 1½ year

https://gmic.eu/gmic325/

If you are interested by the project news, then this (long) one is for you 😉

Thanks to @null54 for making our G'MIC-Qt plug-in available for Paint.NET.

Cheers,

David.
