Both crash logs report the same thing:

 

Exception details:
System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. (PaintDotNet.Canvas.CanvasControl)

I wouldn't doubt it, when I consider that the computer is a few years old, but I ran Dell's pre boot system tests that are a part of it's bios just last week, and there were no problems found with the memory modules, only that the battery is at half of it's expected life span.

 

These crashes occurred when I held down ctrl- and zoomed all the way out, and then ctrl+, zooming all the way in, in succession. I repeated this a couple times, and each time I tried it, I crashed. Now of course this isn't something that people will be normally doing, so it's probably not critical, but it does bare looking into I think.

Looks like an Direct2D graphics issue.

Your Intel graphics drivers are out-of-date.  You can find newer ones for your hardware here:

Install the newer drivers, and let us know if that solves the issue.

I downloaded the intel driver detection tool, and it scanned my computer, and says it's all up to date and working properly, but also gave me this readout, regarding the graphics drivers.

Looks like you're using a Dell.

Dell provides driver updates on their site. Just enter your computer model or service tag ID.

Got another crash. Took a few more zoomings this time though.

I'm going to be using a system restore, as the updated drivers seem to be over working my computer just a bit.

Hopefully you guys can work this out if it's repeatable for you or your other devs, as for me, it's not particularly bothersome, as it is a fairly unusual circumstance.

I believe this is the same bug I fixed for 4.1.4 that was causing crashes for so many others, but a much rarer variant of it.

 

Stay tuned -- I should be able to have a beta build with a fix in about a day, so you can try it out and verify that it's 100% fixed instead of 99.9% fixed like in 4.1.4.

Also, you might check some of the native software that's showing up in your crash log.

 

You have a lot of DLLs from WIDCOMM "Bluetooth Software", there's Dell Backup & Recovery software that I believe is discontinued now, and AVAST antivirus is also hooking in for some reason.

 

Try disabling/uninstalling those and see if you can still reproduce the crash.

I'll give it a go with different things disabled/enabled and post back here if I get to a point where it doesn't crash anymore upon the unusual zooming circumstances.
