Triangle mosaic / shaded polygon mesh

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to create a triangle mosaic like in these example images:

 

(And this would be nice too)

 

 

I've searched the forums, but found nothing similar to this.

It would be really nice to have a plugin for this, as it is quite a popular background design for many things.

(PS. This is more of a plugin suggestion, I'm not trying to create anything in particular with this right now.)

Thanks for your reply.  
I tried both of those plugins and they would be perfect if only they let you specify the vertex count per cell...
As far as I know, both plugins can only do square (4 vertex) mosaics, which isn't exactly what I'm after.

Your example images reminded me of @Red ochre's Facet plugin. I'd have a play with that.
