sp0ckrates
Is there a 64-bit only installer I may download and run? Or is there a fix for this? OS is Windows 7, 64-bit with SP1. I have .NET 4.7.2 installed and the latest Windows updates. Paint.NET did an update, removed the old version, but failed to install the new. When I download and run the latest installer from the getpaint.net website, it displays this error: "There was an error while installing paint.net. (1603). Fatal error during installation." Windows event viewer displays this message: "Event 10005, MsiInstaller. Product: paint.net -- 32-bit MSI may not be installed on 64-bit OS." Not sure why the paint.net installer is trying to install a 32-bit application on my 64-bit OS. Any suggestion will be much appreciated! Ego Eram Reputo
One workaround for this issue is to install paint.net using /createMsi. If you want to try it, see......
