Web Page Background Images

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm trying to replicate the attached background image in Paint for my website. I've only used Paint to edit photos thus far, so designing graphics from scratch is very new to me.

I'm would like to have a similar image of different colours on each page. I like this particular design/shape but being able to design other simple shapes/effects would be cool too.

Any pointers in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Hello Double 0 seven :) and Welcome to the forum.

You will need to use different layers for your colors.  I hope this 'clickable' mini tutorial will be of help.

Hi,

You could use several recoloring Tools and plugins:

Menu Adjustments/Curves...

Menu Adjustments/Conditional Hue/Saturation...

Honestly, I would not advise using images as a background when developing websites in principle. Especially in this particular case, you can do with tools such as the gradient in CSS. Well, either use the SMS platform, but they still need to be able to install, unless of course you do not have hosting services of this type.

Thread is over a year old J_P. I'm sure Stephen has it sorted by now.
